Today I would like to share with you some thoughts on our Avocados. Our Avocados all originate from Australia. (We adhere to strictly buying only Aussie Avocados for you). So we will rarely, if ever, mix up Mexican/Other country ones with Aussie Avocados for you. In any case... if we do run out of avocado and the only ones left is not Aussie... we will give you a call and let you know about it and the new price of the Avocados.
So I'm going on and on about how I *die die also wanna sell Aussie avocados* (insist on selling Australian avocados) because Aussie avocados give the best flavours! I think it's the only one I have ever had that has that rich aroma specific to Avocados that I cant seem to get with other country's Avocados. Though... it is pretty hefty in price comparisons. Good food always has a heavier price tag, ey?
So.. how to ripen your avocado ah?
Many people have difficulty figuring this one out. So I will give you a quick run down on what to do.
1. Order avocado online with Jezripe 😂
2. Leave it out on the counter in a cool space (Recommended about 18 to 20 degrees celcius. For us Malaysians, this means air conditioned room.) until the fruit darkens. Remember to avoid direct sunlight!
3. Avocado should be less firm to the touch compared to when first purchased and the colour should be purplish brown. Time to refrigerate!
4. Consume within 3 to 5 days of ripening. Nomnomnom! Don't keep too long lah. Eat fresh always best!
